Summer Daze

One of the highlights of summer has always been the waterslide at Marmie and Papa's house. It's been a tradition since I was little, and it's so much fun to see a new little generation of Haynie cousins enjoying the fun. It's funny how seeing your kids love something that you loved brings you so much happiness.
And the same theory that proved true 25 years ago still exists today. The more dish-soap that you squirt all over yourself--the faster you'll go.

And, still, sometimes the water fun turns into a water fight.

And, sometimes, if you're trying to be sneaky with a water balloon, you'll hold on to it a little too long and end up getting yourself. It's a good look, Dad. And if you're a little too wimpy for water games {Shane}, you'll always move to sit right next to Papa where you know nobody will dare throw a balloon. Good times.

The dish soap is also why that particular place in Marme's lawn always looks kind of dead. But it is a dead spot with Love.
