For Your "Loving" Pleasure

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. It's one of my favorites. I love it because it is not a big, over-the-top ordeal. It can be simple, and sweet, and lovely. For some reason, Valentine's Day always brings out a desire in me to cuddle up in a blankie and watch my favorite "love day" movies. {On an embarrassing side note, I once gave a high school boyfriend some "love" movies, a fuzzy blankie, and boxers for V-day. How tacky! I can't imagine what his parents, and mine, must have thought...}

Today I was thinking about some of my favorites. Some of the best. I thought, in the spirit of love day, that I would share them with you. Oh, and my "love" movies are always better when they are paired with a great love song. Some of them give me chills, still. Click on a movie to relive the greatness...

***George Strait is Pure Country lovin'.
***Robin Hood was one of my first favorite "lovey-dovey" movies. I love the soundtrack, too!
***A surprise? Moulin Rouge gets a spot. And it's all because of the tunes.
***I still get all fuzzy when I hear "In Your Eyes", while watching Say Anything {It's been a while since I've seen this. I was amazed, as I looked at it today, how much Lloyd Dobler looks like my cousin Russ. What a handsome devil! If you know Russ, check it out.}
***The Notebook makes me cry each and every time I watch {even with no great song}.

***"I Will Always Love You" is classic, especially in The Bodyguard.
***Top Gun takes my breath away every time.

***Anybody want to boogie? Check out Baby on Dirty Dancing.

***Keep on dancing, because Strictly Ballroom makes "Time after Time" even better.

***And, of course, there's always Titanic.
