Where Is Your Soul?

So I have finally finished New Moon {stop reading if you haven't read it yet}. I have to say I was disappointed. In fact, it ruined Twilight for me in a way. Now, I didn't fall in love with Twilight the way everybody else did, but I was into it enough to want to keep reading. In my opinion, this series is a very well written version of an okay story. I'm not that into fantasy stories that could never really happen {I mean vampires, werewolves, c'mon}, but the love story kept me going. However, in New Moon, there were so many inconsistencies that it drove me crazy. Bella drove me insane. Edward was mostly absent, and when we got him back we had to endure pages and pages of vampire council and dialogue that had me rolling my eyes. Jacob was the guy who I liked--and Bella treated him so poorly. Aside from being a wolf {again, roll of the eyes}, he was more normal and more like Bella. What they had was better. Edward was/is kind of creepy. Sure, I get all girly goofy when he talks about marrying Bella and wanting to protect her all of the time--but could you really sleep every night knowing that he would be lying next to you all night long just staring, and that he would be hunting bears on the weekends and then coming back to you? It's creepy weird and I don't understand it. Also, a big disappointment was that while I was halfway through, I found a picture on the internet of the guy that got cast as Edward in the new movie. He's SO NOT cute. {I prefer my Edward from my Twilight review, he's a hottie!}. So, although I'm sure I'll eventually read Eclipse, I'm going to have to take a break from wolves and vampires and try to read something a little more me.

Really, this guy, so not the Edward in my head....{and this is a good picture of him!?!}

Favorite New Moon quote: "What is tempting you more, my blood or my body?" Oh, please!

On the bonus side: New Year's Resolution of reading one book a month...so far, check.

I thought the series was a fun read but my pet peeve is Bella. HATE HER...she is so annoying. Who doesn't like surprise birthday parties and presents? Seriously.

This is not how I picture Edward at all. New Moon was by far the hardest one out the series to read.

um I think that you are stealing material from me to put on your blog. Just cause you hear me say something funny meg does not mean that you came up with it. Haha.

Yeah, Chrissy, you're right. You pointed it out to me before I read the book. Still, best quote. I still laughed when I read it.
