This last week has been so hard. Will you take me back? While I absolutely did have some extra time to get things accomplished, I sure missed you all. I guess that I will just have to live with the fact that I'm truly addicted. It could be worse, right? I remind myself that I am basically keeping a journal while I sit here and blog away, so I'm doing myself and my posterity a favor. Someday, my family will thank me {even if it means that some nights they may have cereal for dinner}. There are worse things in life, that's for sure {like oversudsy laundry soap, which is a whole other post for a later time...}
I have been thinking about why I love this blog thing so much, and why I find myself totally addicted. First, as I mentioned above, it's like a journal. Because life has kept me busy enough to forget writing in my journal more than a few times a year, I always justified the time I spent working on my scrapbook. Now, I can justify my computer time, because I post things that may otherwise be forgotten. On the flip side, I feel that I have gotten to know some of my blogging friends better through their writing. When someone posts 100 facts about themselves, there is usually something in there that I didn't know, and that would not likely come up in a conversation. I have found old friends that I hadn't spoken to in over a year, and now I feel like they are closer. I truly love this bloggin' connection that I have found, and it's so worth the time spent. Now go post something, cause I love to see my google reader full.

I am glad you are back. Can't wait to hear the laundry story.
I totally agree with you, it is a journal. The only one I have. I am so happy that you are back, I have been missing hearing from you. You'll definetly have to tell the laundry story.
All I have to say is DIDO!!! Now I just have to convince my husband that blogging is time well spent...
I DON"T BELIEVE IT!!! Well here is a real blast from your past. It's me Amy Orvin. Don't ask me how I found you, but I too am one blogging fool. I think that the last time I saw you was 10 years ago at your wedding. My hair was cut as short like a boy. And then we both disappeared. What happened?!? We have so much to catch up on. I love your blog. You daughters are absolutely adorable. I still am in shock over this whole discovery. Check our site out, or email me at amycanno{dot}gmail{dot}com.
oops its amycannon{at}gmail{dot}com I'm delusional it's 12:05am
This is why I love my blog...Just as I was mentioning in my post that I have found long lost friends, my high school friend finds my blog. It's been years {probably 10} since I've even spoken to her. Weird, I know, since she was one of my favorite buddies and was even at my wedding...Now we can keep in touch--without this blog thingy chances are we would have gone the rest of our lives without contact. This is great!
